I have always been a creative person. But creativity takes many forms. I started this channel to showcase my varied interests. Now after a few years my channel has grow tremendously. Although the channel will always be primarily for fish keepers I will always have a surprise in store for you with music, steampunk cosplay, convention coverage, and games (coming soon).

The @fluval 44 gallon Shaker kit has a lot of amazing features I love to see in an aquarium kit. Some folks want a nice aquarium setup but would rather get it all at once with parts that are designed to work together. This kit has it all! Drilled out tank, canister filter with specialized connections, custom stand that accommodates the drilled tank and canister, topper, lid, and a #Aquasky Blue...

#fishkeeping #Pethiapadamya #barb The Odessa barb (Pethia padamya) is a species of cyprinid fish known from Central Myanmar, where it is known to occur in an artificial pond above the Anisakan Falls and also from the lower Chindwin River.[2] For many years it has been known to the aquarium hobby, where it has frequently been confused with the less colourful ticto barb, but it was only described...

Aquael Canister / Heater - Unboxing and First Impressions
I bought this tank for a rescue betta. Definitely too powerful of a current for bettas. I cut a corner off an aquarium sponge removed the ball joint part and shoved it in. Its perfect now
Yeap I like to use the foam intake covers to pull over the return.
WORST FILTER FOR SHRIMP
I just purchased 12 of these just yesterday. They are very young, so the colours do not show up much.
I have a decent amount of experience with anubias. If you want a higher rate of return, take the rhizome out of the water, cut the rhyzome into 1-2 cm pieces and plant the rhyzome on top of soil. Make sure its in a moist environment + light.. in a few months, you will have 10s to 100s of anubias (depending on how many pieces you cut your rhyzome into. I'll link to my short video. I had a over 95% success rate on this method of propagation.
I've done this with Anubias nana, nana petit, gold, heterophylla, barteri, and coin
I'm currently trying to do this with bucephalandra (just started an experiment yesterday), I will upload a video later today, and will likely upload videos on the progress of the buce.
Why are my WH leaves and bulbs turning brown?
What did you use for your trap?
Blood worms
Hi the largest flex we can get in the UK is the 123l I would love one of these do you know anywhere I can buy the mega that will ship to the UK thanks.
This is a 123L (or 32 gallons to us.)
This is such a nice video break - from all the news stuff - it's educational and yet, it's like visiting a friend's home!
Tank size ?
It’s 32 gallons or 123 L
Hi Pecktec, I tried to build a small BCB for a canister filter based on the videos of Dr N using a plastic box I made from a ice cream container. There was no improvement or any change (positive or negative) despite trying to adjust a few times. I went back to the videos and determined that the flow of the canister pump was much too fast. I could not turn down the pump volume or get a canister with a weak pump. I have designed a small PLENUM embedded in a sump filter using a plastic tub. Busy building it at the moment. I managed to get a small pump from TEMU and hopefully that would make the BCB work as it should.
Pearl weed is a pain in the......
What a great tank revival.
That is really nice
Interesting video to see what still alive and looking good. Is that you playing the music? I always like the music in your videos.
No YT has an audio library. I do spend a long time looking for music that’s ok to listen to there’s not much to pick from. But it keeps me from getting dinged for copy write stuff.
Low-tech tank? I'd say no tech tank. I wonder what you call dirt? Maybe all the plant debris! Cause all I saw was it had white sand in as soil. But also shows good quality light and water all you need to have a green lush natural almost like a biotope planted tank. Congrats Sean many people want like that but get overrun by algae and it's over. This is amazing how healthy and balanced was the whole thing. 👍
It’s planting soil under the sand.
@@pecktec Oh, hidden dirt! lol. My dirt well, my daughter cleans every week so I'm lacking dirt and I have a clean TV I guess. But I like this way cause all nutrients dissolve very slowly so it doesn't create algae bloom. Sand eh? I will try it like you did! Have a happy 4th of July Sean and to your family too!
Its all looking great. Super cool. Thanks for sharing
Awesome that you could still have a decent natural looking scape even after pulling all those stems 👍
Jume 21th ? 😅 ❤
😂 whoops
@@pecktec haha and then I go ahead and write Jume ! 🙄🤣
Very surprising how many anubius survived! What light are you using on this tank? Still loving the channel 🙏
That’s a Hagger light I got off Amazon.
Perfect for some livebearers now :-) Beautifully nature!
Wow! It looks so nice 😍 I have a tank with guppy grass growing out of control....I am inspired to yank a bunch out now!
Nice tank in the end. Congrats! And thanks for sharing another video 👋
A pretty nice reveal their. Your betta will be very lucky
Nice man 😁
Well it looks great❤
Would love to get all those plants you pulled out. Would you want to meet me at the aquarium on papermill this weekend, say Saturday? Why ask cause I need some plants for my nano Iwagumi aquarium
You should go to the aquarium club. East TN Aquatic Association we trade plants and fish all the time.
Were there any shrimp found in there? I really like the natural looking scape. <•))))~{
Nope I’ve had trouble with them in this tank. But it’s been a while since I tried.
That’s awesome! This keeper of dirted natural tanks loves what you’ve done with the place. 👍 Keep up the great work.

Tank is looking awesome i have a 30 long and its my tank that i never have problems with either. Thanks for sharing
Your Anubias always look great.
That Green Light On The Transformer Has NOTHING Whatsoever To Do With The Functioning Of The U-V Bulb. I Know That For A Fact Because That Green Light Comes On When The Transformer Is Plugged In...EVEN If The U-V Light Itself IS NOT Plugged Into The Transformer. At Best, All That Green Light Signifies Is That The Transformer Is Plugged In...But It Has NOTHING To Do With How The U-V Light Is Functioning...Or Even If The U-V Light Is Functioning At All. Fluval Needs To Update Their Description Of The Purpose Of That Green Light With Some Accurate...And Honest...Information.
I wonder what caused your crypto parva stop growing, your substrate seems ideal I am thinking maybe the light is not too strong? I've been growing crypto parva in my tank under high light and co2 so maybe crypto parva is not a low demanding type of crypto? Hopefully with the new substrate and new plants they improve, they are definitely slow growers.
I love my Flex 32, but haven't quite gotten the scape where I want it.
its sort of tricky half tube with a hump in the middle.
Love the growth of the anubias. How long did it take to grow so many like that? About to watch the playlist right now lol I'm behind
Its hard to tell they were pretty good specimens when I put them in. They are one plant that seems to love the water here.
Very nice! I’m about to finish year 3 with my Mega Flex! Been wanting to replace the substrate and redo the foliage as well. I’ve added a second light bar and have a Siesta programed. I almost removed the back filter chamber and considered a HOB, but haven’t yet.
I thought about removing it too. Maybe add a canister I don’t like hobs much. But I like being able to service it easily. And being able to swap one sponge a a time is nice.
I'm finally setting up my flex after 6 months of sitting. Thanks for the content!
Enjoy the ride!
Wow, just wow. THE most informative and interesting YT video I have ever watched. Such lovely people too. A pleasure to listen to.
Glad you enjoyed it!
very beautiful tank the tank look so amazing congrats sean
I hate my crypto parva. It grows so slow it's just not worth the effort unless you have CO2 running
They can be a lot of work. The shaker will be my first time trying it with co2
Love your videos Pecktec😊
I love this tank - i've had mine for about 3years now and at the moment it is my only tank
Tank is looking great. Thanks Sean!!!
Another great video Sean!
Love this tank! Anubias and crypt parva are in my top 5 favs 😊. Thanks for the update
The tank is looking great. Thanks for the update.
What is your light setting?
So that will be pretty hard to spell out as it goes up and down with a lot of different options in the app. I have in the past pointed out or shown my screen for the app though, and it hasn’t changed much in a few years. It goes around 10 hours with the ramp up and ram down.
It’s always great to have at least one tank you never have to worry about. lol
So true!
Hoping to have the same kind of growth on my own Anubias aquarium.
Perhaps S. Repens would do better in that substrate than parva. Nice tank.
parva will not really grow much larger or spread without co2
I have some in a tank with co2 now to try that. But I’ve never had to do that before. It’s just a long long wait.
You have such a green thumb!
